Cincinnati/ Kentucky Death/Thrash maniacs, MACHINATIONS OF FATE, self-released their Tyrannous Skies demo way back in 2012. The brainchild of guitarist Jason Pate, MACHINATIONS OF FATE is rounded off by Lead Guitarist Brian Henn and underground Death Metal legend in-the-making, Ash Thomas (Faithxtractor, Estuary, Shed the Skin) on vocals. The band found a live drummer and bassist and continued on playing live shows through 2013-2014 until other bands / projects began to get in the way and MACHINATIONS OF FATE went on a few year hiatus.
With the band feeling their work was unfinished, they began playing shows again in 2019 with committments well into 2020. The band went back and replaced the programmed drums on their 2012 demo with a real drum performance courtesy of Ash Thomas and in addition, the recording was completely remixed & remastered with a result more powerful than ever!
Now with a complete visual & sonic facelift, and simply re-titled/self-titled as MACHINATIONS OF FATE, this album will be properly re-issued & released through Redefining Darkness Records on CD this February.

Honestly a masterpiece. This album made me feel so many things, most of which I can’t even find words to describe. As corny as that sounds, this album honestly deserves all the praise it receives and more. One of my favourite releases. Chips
A corrosive mix of death, doom, psychedelia, and black metal, the Portland quartet’s debut full-length is a bona fide underground monolith that shapeshifts with each listen, all while maintaining its essential heaviness. Bandcamp Album of the Day Feb 1, 2019
